Our team was tasked with researching and analyzing the failure of the Healthcare.gov launch. We focused on three specific dimensions of the incident: technology, management, and political criticism. Our sources consisted of various media outlets ranging from conservative perspectives to progressive. After reviewing our data we started to notice patterns and signifiers that pointed to the websites demise. We established connections among decisions made and their consequences. To highlight these findings and put it within the context of the multiple opinions being voiced at the time we juxtaposed these connections with the political climate that was taking place. We noticed that while the activity happening in management outweighed technology and political criticism at the beginning of the timeline they quickly gained ground when the launch failed and media and politicians wanted to place blame.
